    • Today is definitely an inside stuff day. Its grey, cold and raining pretty incessantly  out there right now.    saved a decent chunk of money this month, very happy about that. Keeping closer tabs on what I'm spending is definitely paying off. Yes, i know, obvious. But my life has been so chaotic for so long it just wasn't something i thought to do before. All progress though, so endeavouring not to beating myself up about past mistakes and celebrate current wins instead (need to train my brain to think back less and not fixate on long past errors. Not helpful). so in that theme, i decided to reward myself with a few new books i really wanted.  so right now am reading one upon a cave man by cassadra gannon, which is silly and fun and just everything i need in a book right now.  finished    finished the second sophie jordan book. Definetly needed trigger warnings in it though so, incase anyone is thinking of reading it trigger warnings i noticed
    • ive definitely had days ive craved sugar, but they've got further apart as ive gone along (i should warn you, ive been at this since jan so it might take a while). I give myself one treat a week (As part of my the wider life/diet reset things im doing) and this can be cake etc. ive found though, the days i screw over my cals, its often becuase i ate something sugary ..and then had something else sweet and something else. (Mince pies where the culprit trigger yesterday. Someone left some out to thaw. …Im sure you can see where this is going)   Things ive found help -fruit (nice fruit, stuff you love and ideally will choose over other snacks, pineapple, grapes, blueberries have all been good for me. Keep some in the fridge at eye heigh. If you have to make yourself a post it note do so) -energy balls (This recepie was awesome. Highly recommend) -Upping my protein intake (as this reduced my temptation to snack) -the mini amaretti biscuits. Becuase i can just have a couple of these and i get something sweet, but i never seem to then inhale a load of other sugar after them.) -very oat based cookies. Small ones (if you think your can resit inhaling them, These are very nice and not too big) -dried fruit can be good, but you need to be careful not to eat lots in one go  (way too easy to eat an entire bunch worth of grapes when they’re raisins) -if you can get family members on board with the “dont leave sweet stuff laying around” plan, also a good call. Much harder to resist the stuff if its sitting on the counter.    ok, hope some of that helps.  if its any consolation at least 3 of us on here are doing the less sugar thing this year. @Everstorm has been tracking hers in her challenge.
    • 30 side-to-side lunges with toe point - 🐝  (balancing issues, though, had to steady myself against the sofa a couple of times to not fall on my ass) 30 plank crunches - 🐝  (in one go!!!)
    • Doing better today. Got the cardio in.
    • There are a few hikes I'm interested in (probably a bit further than 40 minutes, but still fairly close) that won't be melted out until at least July. It seems like so long to wait!
    • I think tomorrow I want to go back to listing plans for the day   Today, I decided to walk around a lake. Altitude foiled my plans. Why is it still winter 40 minutes from my house?!   The drive was beautiful, and there's a park near my home with a walking loop I've wanted to check out, so did that. It was really nice.   It was less than half an hour, but between reading outside yesterday, and going for a walk today, I think I've slightly burned my forearms and forehead. This tells me two things. 1. I need to grab some sunscreen TOMORROW  2. I really need to spend more time outside.    Wasn't productive after that. Played Enshrouded. Watched YouTube, got stuck scrolling through shorts WAY too long. I'm good with not getting much done, but would like to be more productive tomorrow.    Debating between going to another park I've wanted to see, and visiting an art museum. I think I'll let the weather decide; if it's raining when I get up, I think I'll go to the park.
    • Thanks for sharing this.
    • Ok doing yesterday and today as I'm now away for a singing weekend!  Office yesterday and chorus after - had an exam (that I passed, woo but stress!) so I had some Turkish delight that were emotionally required.  Today was a bit of a faff - drove to the Midlands but the place I booked didn't have parking, and hadn't been cleaned and I had to join some work calls, so after trekking there with bags, I trekked back to the conference centre to finish work. Thankfully they refunded me and a friend is joining tomorrow so I have their bed for the night, and have booked a night in this hotel for tomorrow, and crashing in ANOTHER person's room the last night(!) Had some comfort food but then got a sensible dinner instead of pub food.   Yesterday: 🇹🇷 5pts 🏃‍♀️ 5pts 🚶‍♀️5pts 🌞 5pts 🛏️ 10pts Today: 🍜 0pts 🏃‍♀️ 5pts 🚶‍♀️5pts 🌞 5pts 🦵 5pts ➰ 5pts 🍑 5pts💡 0pts Total: 950pts
    • This week has been a busy one again! Yesterday I saw my regular doctor and she was thrilled with my weight loss from last year,  and she likes my diet and exercise plan. She should because it's the one she recommended   But it was a relief to see her and have her say that everything looks good for now. I feel like I can relax.     Tuesday, I got my hair fixed up, so it looks really pretty, but it's just doesnt' feel like ME. I don't know why. It's perfectly good hair, but lately it feels like someone else's hair. Does that make sense?   My friend opened up a boutique for plus sized clothing! She and her cousin were tired of shopping for clothes online and having to return them and they figured other women feel the same. It's a really pretty little store, and I'm really excited for her. I went to the soft opening last night, and her parents were there, and I haven't seen them in years.  I hugged them both really hard and sat and talked to them for almost an hour and listened to how happy they were and how proud they were of my friend. We were best friends in middle school and we spent so much time sleeping over each other's houses and she and I joked that we shared parents. When I saw them, I felt so many things, and I don't really have the words for it. I'm so glad I got to see them.   Today I got the car inspected, took Dad to the gym and ran errands, my brother stopped by and then my aunt and uncle are coming for dinner tonight. After tonight, I have NOTHING on my plate for DAYS.  I also realized there's a wedding May 11, and I HAVE TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT, so summer vacation will start after the wedding.  I know the wedding cake topper has dogs on it! I wonder if their dog will be in the ceremony! I can't wait to find out! Well, I CAN because I have to find a wedding present!
