    • Hello, everyone! I am Artemis Prime, level 4 Life Domain cleric, but by the end of this challenge, I plan to be level 5! Before we get into that though, a review of my high-tier 2024 goals:   1. Become an Ordained Deacon in the ACNA Things might be a little slower here this challenge. I finish my spring class this week, then will have a week off before summer class starts. My Parish Discernment Committee is wrapped up, so the next step is meeting with the Diocesan Council, and I'm not sure how quickly that is going to get scheduled.    2. Strength GainZ I want to spend the summer really focusing on increasing my pull ups and push ups, but I've been spending a lot of money lately and so am going to wait until next challenge to order the weighted vest I want to use for that. I just joined a gym though, and am riding high on the fun honeymoon phase, so this challenge is going to be all about familiarizing myself with the equipment there, and prepping for the summer with lots of lat pulldowns and chest presses. The goal is at least twice a week, possibly three if scheduling permits, and I always have the option of using my home weights if I can't get to the gym.   Running-wise, I want to start adding speedwork back into my routine. For this challenge, the goal is speedwork once per week. Week One I will also gauge my mile time (wanted to do it in Zero Week, but 5k timing threw that off) and see if/how it changes by the end of the challenge.   3. Finish Barndominium Progress has been slow here lately, but is picking up as the weather improves. Focus continues to be on staining, and interior stall walls, which are almost done, so then barn ceiling will be next on the list. Once the staining is done, I want to get the soffit and flashing on. And then put the deck up.  And THEN, finally, I'll be ready to start finishing my apartment. I hope my horses appreciate how much higher their living space is on the list than mine.

    • "Everyone" is a wide spectrum, but if we were to generalize, people might be reading a mix of fiction and non-fiction. In fiction, popular genres include thrillers, romance, fantasy, and sci-fi, with titles like "The Silent Patient" or "Where the Crawdads Sing" often making the rounds. Non-fiction wise, self-help books, biographies, and books on current affairs like "Sapiens" or "Educated" tend to attract attention. Of course, these are just broad strokes, and individual tastes can vary widely. What are you reading at the moment?
    • Sounds like the best birthday party
    • Tatoos are very cool. Nice that liam got something to celibrate his graduation
    • Went to painting today and finished my butterfly. I'm really happy with how it turned out.    Painting teacher wanted to braid my hair, happy with that too.     I had this bracelet that I really liked. But it was too small to get on without a fight, and too loose when on. Talked to the ladies at painting and they told me to go to a bead store.   Added malachite beads, and made it elastic and now it fights perfectly     Today's lessons in nail polish.  1. The gel works if I quadruple the drying time on the light thingy 2. I really can't do both hands at the same time.  3. I think black would look really good as an under layer. 4. The ladies in my painting class are soooo not helpful for nail advice. Left hand worked out ok, right hand got super messed up putting on my shoes. So, got black polish on my way home and tried the glitter over that.     And finally, an important scientific lesson.      I really should have gone to sleep an hour ago, but it doesn't seem to be happening (was in bed on time) thinking about getting up for a while.
    • I have actually Done Things today, after like a week or more of being very focused on work. Honestly, just work since Sunday, when I batch cooked for the week, so I wouldn't have to stop work.   I'm probably sort of ready for the start of the challenge. I've had a little sleep, done some extra self care things. Doing things is very nice. Some of them are enjoyable things. And I think I will batch cook more.
    • So I didn't finish doodling all the characters in my oldest art book, but my time ran out and so I presented it to my nieces. In retrospect, the younger one was probably trying to see I was actively paying attention by asking "what is this?" each time she turned the page, though I took points of psychic damage because I naturally assume what I've drawn (even in inexperienced quality) is still recognizable. 🥲 The older one, who is of the age at which I received the book, was fascinated enough to flip through before dinner, but when I explained my notion of letting them hold onto the book if they wanted, she said I didn't need to lend it to them. 🫠 Okay then. I did show the archer contrast I shared with y'all yesterday, to reiterate to the younger that I wanted to show how experienced artists start off drawing like children. And my sister also referenced a Bluey episode (which I have seen a snippet from) regarding art skill level improving by continued efforts.  Anyway, they'd had a lovely D&D themed birthday party, involving a dragon pinata, a monstrous bean bag toss game, a mimic treasure chest, and a roguish challenge of quietly navigating strings with bells on them.  I put together a Pokemon puzzle with the younger who then immediately tore it back apart while family was out saying goodbye to a parting guest. 😮‍💨 Children are monstrous sometimes. Anyway, I made it home safely... and I have lost my doodled art deadline, but I intend to continue since the book is still in my possession. 🤷‍♀️
