I am looking at this book. I have seen it mentioned here and there and a runner that I work with suggested it to me. So has anyone read this book and if so what do you think?

I've read it... it inspired me to start running a lot, if that suggests anything to you. It also was one of those first big eye opening "wow... mega-corporations are trying to screw us over" moments for me as an adult (along with fast food nation, the omnivore's dilemma, and food, inc.). my sister thinks it's more of a "guy" book, but regardless i really enjoyed reading it, couldn't put it down for most of the time i was reading it.

About 10 minutes ago I finished this book. This is an amazing book that anyone that loves running or even slightly enjoys running should read. Just one amazing book

Yup, incredible. I hate running and I went out and bought some vibrams and signed up for a 5k after finishing it.

+1. I hated running and anything like it. It inspired me and made me want to run like crazy. I loved the spirit of it too, the young couple running to Beat poetry, the values of Caballo Blanco, and the more proof to the fact that the human body is perfectly evolved and living naturally is the healthiest way to be, and corporations are basically effing us up and creating problems for us so they can create more things to "fix" them that cause more issues so they can make more money.

(I'm pretty anti-corporate) :p
