My name is Steve Kamb, creator and founder of Nerd Fitness and The Academy, and I’ll be one of your professors for this self-directed, self-paced course.

I’ve been obsessed with health and fitness for the past 13 years. I live for this stuff and can’t wait to help you get stronger, happier, and… yup… look better naked.

After exhausting herself with HOURS and HOURS of cardio machines and treadmills, she finally saw her life change when she fell in love with strength training.

She now spends her days as the Rebel Ops leader for all of Nerd Fitness – continually inspiring women AND men alike to train hard, eat clean, and adapt positive habits for the long-term.

A Wild JIM Approaches!

Jim is the new “Master of the Training Universe” for Nerd Fitness, having previously been CrossFit Director for CrossFit Foggy Bottom for a number of years (where it won Best CrossFit Gym in Washington DC).

Before that, he was an award-winning, full time Personal Trainer and founded a website with popular tutorials for advanced bodyweight skills. Through his work online and off, he became frequently requested for seminars both here in the States and abroad.

He’s competed in both Powerlifting and Olympic lifting and currently specializes in gymnastics, grip strength, and weightlifting. He also has background in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, rock climbing, and slacklining. Jim has personally programmed all workout levels and 25+ individual workouts in The Academy.

Is this an eBook? I’m confused.

Nope this isn’t an ebook (or a series of ebooks)! This is an online course that you will log into and learn from at your own pace.

From 2011 – 2013, we had ebooks available, but choose to evolve them into this platform so we could expand, upgrade, add forums and questing features that we never could’ve before.

By creating this Academy instead of an eBook, we have an opportunity to continually update, expand our tracking and gaming features, and add new contents and workouts easily to help push you.

I won’t know how to do any of the exercises – will this be too hard?

We’ve designed the Academy, from the ground up, to give you the VERY next step to complete no matter where you are starting. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t exercised a single day in your life, we’ve had Rebels who started walking just a few minutes a day in the beginning.

Our system is easy, start at the very beginning and move through each section one small step at a time. We make it fun – you’ll be gaining experience and watching your progress as you level up!

Once you get more comfortable, the workouts and quests scale for even the most intense competitors out there. There is a reason we’ve got so many quests and so many levels, you’ll be able to keep leveling up for a long time to come!

I’m vegetarian (or vegan), will this still work for me?

The Nutrition Module of this course is primarily grounded in a nutritional plan of whole foods which includes meat. Our meal plans and recipes will not all be adjustable to your exact diet needs in all cases.

However, the good news is EVERY other part of the Academy gives it’s full benefit. The Mindset and Fitness Modules, all the workouts, the bonuses, the community (which does include vegetarians and vegans), the quest features – all will still work 100% for you.
