I’m with you through the whole strength training part. But any discussion of calorie restriction is incomplete without mentioning the female athlete triad: insufficient calorie intake, loss of periods, & bone loss.
Eating disorders in female athletes is so common it has its own shorthand. It is irresponsible to discuss weight loss strategies without giving an equal platform to weight loss risks. Of course, men can suffer from eating disorders as well, and should also be cautioned, but women are at far greater risk.
