I'm 31, with two daughters, 10 and 7. I'm trying to teach them not to hate their bodies while at the same time encourage them to do healthy things, so sometimes they jump in the exercising with me, which would be more fun if we weren't doing it in my tiny living room.

A lot of my life has been steered by my bipolar disorder, but I've been in treatment for four years, and while it has been a long journey, I finally feel like I'm in a place to drive my own life.

My name, Avril O, is from my Roller Derby pseudonym, Avril Obscene. While I don't currently play, I would absolutely love to be in shape enough to go back.

I'm planning on going back to school for a maths degree, which is exciting and daunting all at once.

I have severe wanderlust, so I try to travel somewhere, even if it's just within the states, once or twice a year. This is somewhat tempered by my overwhelming personal and student loan debt, which I am attempting to get under control.
