My Story
My fitness story begins several months into my first (only) pregnancy. I realized how uncomfortable I was being as heavy as I was and I vowed to NEVER EVER EVER be that heavy on my own. Prior to that, I was more of "eh, it tastes good, I'll eat it. ALL of it." type who would cringe at the thought of exercising. After I had my daughters, yes, plural, and I got released from my doctor, I immediately started working out and watching what I ate.
Fast forward almost two years, and here we are. In the past two years, I have lost almost 85lbs. I have found things that work for me, and things that don't. I have learned (is that a word? it looks weird) that balance is a must. I have found that I really enjoy running, but my knees do not. I love, let me reiterate, LOVE lifting. I also really enjoy HIIT and rock climbing. Hiking, rafting, snowboarding...anything, really. If it is a challenge and gets my heart rate up, then I'm game.
While I have accomplished a lot, I still have goals. I would like to attain 22ish% body fat. I would like to be able to run an actual 5K. I want to NOT feel self conscious wearing shorts. I also need to get a better grip on my eating habits.
I know that everything takes time, so I plan to just work at it. One thing at a time.
