Coach Drew has been a personal trainer for more than 10 years, though his own transformation has been in progress far longer.
Drawing from his own experience in getting strong and healthy, along with his deep education in human performance, he adapts principles of athletic training to regular people and everyday heroes to help them reach their potential.
Drew’s approach with clients is empathetic but systematic, building efficient, empowering programming. He’s compassionate but firm and pushes clients beyond their own self-limiting beliefs about what’s possible.
He has a passion for learning and improving his own coaching skills, and after earning his Master’s degree, went on to complete certifications in nutrition, online training, and strength and conditioning – making him a perfect fit as a Nerd Fitness Coach.

With Drew, I’ve been able to strike a good balance of a sustainable pace and getting the nudge to push myself harder when appropriate. In work and in life, I love working with people who are smart, empathetic, and responsive, and Drew brings all of these qualities to his coaching. Without really intending to, I’ve had some significant improvements in my mindset in our time together. This, of course, has made my work in the fitness and nutrition realms come more easily. Whether it’s asking for clarification on form or getting vulnerable about obstacles I’m grappling with, I feel that I can go to him for support. I feel very fortunate to have Drew in my corner!

This is my first time trying professional coaching and it’s made a huge difference. Drew designed smart, practical workout habits that I’ve actually managed to stick with for over a year. It’s been a great collaboration through the whole process. I’ve learned a ton and am very happy with the physical results.

Drew is a fantastic coach! He always puts in extra time to thoroughly explain his programming and approach. He makes genuinely personalized plans and checks in often to ensure they are working. He’s been invaluable with form checks on the primary powerlifting movements.

Favorite Video Game of All Time
Ocarina of Time. Always called back and forth with my buddy announcing when we found the next big item. Totally felt like I beat him when I found the mirror shield. Still the best gaming experience of my life.
What are You Passionately Nerdy About?
Academics. Is that weird? I love to learn about science (after someone else has already done the research)! I’ve always loved philosophy, and lately I’ve been getting into biographies as well. Big WWII nerd right now.
